About the position

The Kindergarten Teacher at the Archdiocese of Baltimore is responsible for delivering a comprehensive education to young learners, covering all subjects while fostering a nurturing and organized classroom environment. This role involves monitoring student progress, adhering to the curriculum guidelines of the Archdiocese, and participating in school events and faculty meetings. The teacher will also supervise students during homeroom, recess, and lunch, ensuring a safe and engaging learning atmosphere.

Responsibilities

• Teach grade-specific classes in ELA, math, science, social studies, and religion (if Catholic).
• Monitor the progress of students and provide feedback.
• Supervise homeroom before and after school.
• Perform recess and lunch duties as scheduled.
• Attend faculty meetings and various school events such as Back to School Night, graduation, and Open House.
• Follow the guidelines and curriculum of the Archdiocese of Baltimore.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• Professional Educator License (PEL) or willingness to pursue Maryland certification.
• Classroom experience, preferably in a teaching role.
• Strong organizational skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of classroom technology and learning strategies.
• Practicing Catholic (preferred but not required).
