About the position
The Teacher of Pre-Kindergarten will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment for young children. This role involves planning and implementing developmentally appropriate curriculum, assessing student progress, and collaborating with parents and staff to support each child's growth and learning. The teacher will also be expected to maintain a safe and organized classroom, manage classroom behavior, and engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching practices.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a curriculum that meets the needs of all students.
- Assess and monitor student progress and provide feedback to parents.
- Create a safe and welcoming classroom environment.
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to support student learning.
- Engage in professional development activities to improve teaching skills.
Requirements
- New Jersey Department of Education Certification Required (Code 1013)
- Experience working with young children in an educational setting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate lesson plans.
Nice-to-haves

- Knowledge of child development principles.
