About the position
CareStaff Partners is seeking Teachers of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (DHoH) for contract assignments in Salem, OR, for the remainder of the 2024/25 school year. This role is essential for providing specialized education to students with hearing impairments, ensuring they receive the support and resources necessary for their academic success. The position requires DHH Teacher Licensure and offers full-time hours for the duration of the school year.
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized instruction to students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students.
- Collaborate with other educators and specialists to support student learning.
- Assess student progress and adapt teaching methods accordingly.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student needs and progress.
Requirements
- DHH Teacher Licensure required.
- Experience in Deaf education at a mid-level.
- Ability to work collaboratively with a team of educators.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience with IEP development and implementation.
- Knowledge of assistive technology for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.
