The Clarke Schools for Hearing & Speech is seeking a dedicated professional to join our team in providing exceptional educational services to children with hearing loss. The role involves collaboration with families, educators, and specialists to create a nurturing and inclusive environment for all students.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with hearing loss.
- Collaborate with families, educators, and specialists to support student learning.
- Conduct assessments to evaluate student progress and adjust IEPs as needed.
- Provide direct instruction in listening and spoken language skills.
- Facilitate communication between students and their peers.
- Participate in professional development and training opportunities.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Education, Speech-Language Pathology, or a related field.
- Experience working with children with hearing loss or special needs.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Knowledge of IEP development and implementation.
Nice-to-haves
- Master's degree in a related field.
- Certification in Auditory-Verbal Therapy or similar.
- Experience with assistive technology for hearing loss.
