About the position
The Teacher-Preschool position at USC involves creating a nurturing and educational environment for young children. The role requires developing and implementing age-appropriate curriculum and activities that promote social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Teachers will work closely with parents and guardians to ensure a supportive learning atmosphere and will be responsible for assessing children's progress and adapting teaching methods accordingly.
Responsibilities
- Create and implement lesson plans that meet the developmental needs of preschool children.
- Foster a safe and engaging learning environment for children.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding children's progress and needs.
- Assess and document children's development and learning progress.
- Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the educational experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field.
- Experience working with preschool-aged children.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
Nice-to-haves
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.
- Experience with special needs children.
- Knowledge of child development theories and practices.
