About the position

The Sacramento City Unified School District (SCUSD) is seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher for Special Education, specifically for the SDC/ED/Mod Severe program at John F. Kennedy High School. This full-time position spans 10 months and is designed for educators who are committed to making a significant impact in the lives of students with moderate to severe disabilities. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment that caters to the diverse needs of your students. You will work collaboratively with other educators, specialists, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) that promote academic and social growth. In this role, you will engage students in meaningful learning experiences, adapting curriculum and instructional strategies to meet their unique needs. You will also assess student progress and adjust teaching methods accordingly, ensuring that each student has the opportunity to succeed. Requirements

  • Education Specialist Instruction Credential - Moderate/Severe (CLAD, LDS, SB 1969 or ELA required).
