About the position

Edustaff, LLC is seeking dedicated and flexible Substitute Teachers for various school districts including The School District of New Berlin, The Wauwatosa School District, and The School District of South Milwaukee. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a variety of educational settings, providing essential support to licensed teachers and contributing to the learning environment of students. Substitute Teachers will be responsible for maintaining classroom discipline, preparing instructional materials, and leading activities as designated by the regular teacher. The position requires a commitment to report to work Monday through Friday at the assigned school site, with the possibility of being assigned to different buildings within the district as needed. For Building Substitute Teachers, the pay ranges from $165 to $200 per day, while Long-Term Substitute Teachers can earn between $175 and $225 per day. Daily Substitute Teachers will receive $135 to $150 per day. This role is ideal for individuals looking to gain experience in the education field, as it allows for a flexible schedule to accept assignments that fit personal availability. Orientation training will be provided to ensure that substitutes are well-prepared to make a positive impact in their community. To qualify for this position, candidates must hold an Associate Degree or higher and possess a valid Wisconsin Teaching or Substitute License. Additionally, candidates must submit a negative TB test or assessment form and pass a background check prior to employment. Responsibilities

  • Report to work Monday-Friday at assigned school site in the district.
  • Be willing to work in any assignment needed each day.
  • Assist licensed teachers in the implementation and support of instructional programs for students in group or one-on-one settings.
  • Prepare instructional materials as directed by the licensed teacher.
  • Maintain classroom discipline and lead planned activities designated by a licensed teacher.
  • Help develop and maintain a positive school-wide learning environment.

Requirements

  • Must hold an Associate Degree or higher.
  • Must have a valid WI Teaching License or a Long-Term 5 Year Substitute License in the subject area of the long-term position.
  • Must submit a Negative TB Test or TB Assessment Form.
  • Must pass a Background Check prior to employment.
  • 3 years of experience working with students.
