About the position

A New Leaf's Early Childhood Education - Phoenix Day Program is seeking three Early Childhood Education Teachers to join their team. The role focuses on building strong educational foundations for young learners in South Phoenix, helping them develop essential skills and confidence for future success. The program emphasizes creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for children from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

  • Educate, supervise, and care for children.
  • Assist in planning and preparing the environment and activities for children.
  • Assist with classroom education, assessments, and lesson planning.
  • Work directly with children in an instructional setting.
  • Prepare daily reports, health checks, and other documentation as required by the Phoenix Day program and other agencies.
  • Establish and maintain rapport with parents.
  • Welcome and work with visitors and volunteers.
  • Ensure the safety of children at all times.
  • Clean up, diaper, and potty-train children as age-appropriate.
  • Serve meals and drinks to children.
  • Teach children healthy personal habits.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor's degree in early education preferred.
  • Experience in early child daycare or school setting required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Valid Driver's License with reliable transportation.
  • Current Auto Liability Insurance.
  • Must be able to pass various background checks and pre-employment drug test.

Nice-to-haves

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
