The Teacher - World Languages (Spanish) position at Hickman High School is a full-time role responsible for delivering Spanish education to students within the Columbia Public Schools district. Regular assessment of student accomplishments will be conducted, with progress reports provided as required. The teacher will also evaluate learning problems and seek assistance from district specialists when necessary. Maintaining accurate records and adhering to district policies regarding student conduct and classroom behavior is crucial. The teacher will be available to students and parents for educational purposes outside of instructional hours when needed. Additionally, the role includes planning and supervising assignments for teacher aides or volunteers, attending staff meetings, and participating in committees as required. Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in education or related field.
• Must have or be willing to obtain the Missouri teacher certificate in Spanish.
• Documentation of current language proficiency at Advanced Low or higher is preferred.
• Ability to work well with a variety of individuals in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to integrate technology into daily instruction.
