About the position

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Teacher's Aide to support classroom activities and assist the lead teacher in providing a nurturing and effective learning environment for students. The ideal candidate will have experience working with children, particularly in areas of childhood development and behavior management.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher in implementing lesson plans and classroom activities.
• Support students in their learning by providing one-on-one or small group assistance.
• Help manage classroom behavior and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding student progress and needs.
• Facilitate activities that promote social skills and emotional development.
• Monitor student interactions and guide to ensure a safe environment.
• Assist with classroom management tasks, including organizing materials and preparing lesson resources.
• Participate in training sessions to enhance skills related to special education and childhood development.

Requirements

• Experience working with children in an educational or daycare setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of childhood development principles and behavior management strategies.
• Familiarity with special education practices, particularly for students with autism.
• Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
• Ability to manage classroom dynamics and foster an inclusive environment.
• Basic understanding of math concepts to assist students as needed.
• A passion for supporting children's learning and development in a classroom setting.
