About the position
The Teacher's Assistant at The Academy of Okmulgee plays a crucial role in supporting the Head Teacher and ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment for students. This position involves assisting with classroom activities, maintaining cleanliness, and fostering a positive atmosphere for children.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and ensure the safety and well-being of the children at all times.
- Assist the head teacher in preparing and setting up activities.
- Implement portions of the daily program as directed by the Head Teacher.
- Assist in keeping the classroom, storage areas, and bathrooms clean, neat, orderly, and sanitized.
- Attend field trips with students.
- Attend classroom meetings as set by the Head Teacher.
- Familiarize oneself with state regulations and program policies of TAOO.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or higher.
- CPR/First Aid Certified.
- Ability to lift and carry 40lbs.
