About the position

The Infant/Toddler and Preschool Teacher position at Town and Country Early Learning Center involves supervising and nurturing young children in a safe and engaging environment. Teachers are responsible for creating and implementing a curriculum that fosters children's growth and development while maintaining professionalism and effective communication with families.

Responsibilities

• Supervise up to 8 infants/toddlers or 20 preschool children.
• Use positive discipline techniques to support independence and social skills.
• Support children in developing self-help skills.
• Maintain accurate record keeping.
• Communicate effectively with families while maintaining confidentiality.
• Create a safe and conducive learning environment.
• Develop a curriculum aligned with CTELDS to support children's growth.
• Assess children's growth and development in alignment with CTDOTS.
• Maintain required certifications such as CPR/First Aid and background checks.
• Demonstrate reliability and punctuality.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old with at least 12 ECE credits.
• For NAEYC Accredited centers, a BA/BS in ECE, Child Study, Child Development, or a related field is required.
• Evidence of experience working with young children, preferably with 3 references.
• Reliable transportation is necessary.
