About the position

Bellingham High School is seeking three enthusiastic and dedicated teachers to join the After-School Career Pathways Community of Practice Committee. This stipend position involves participating in collaborative after-school meetings focused on the DESE Innovation Pathways Program, which aims to provide students with career-oriented educational experiences aligned with real-world opportunities in high-demand industries. Committee members will work closely with educators, industry partners, and community stakeholders to enhance career pathways and support post-graduation success for students.

Responsibilities

  • Actively attend and contribute to after-school meetings focused on the DESE Innovation Pathways Program.
  • Collaborate with educators, industry leaders, and community organizations to align career pathway opportunities with student needs.
  • Provide input on the structure and content of career-focused learning opportunities.
  • Monitor the progress of students involved in career pathways and provide input for reporting to DESE and other stakeholders.
  • Advocate for the Innovation Pathways Program within the school community.

Requirements

  • Current teacher at Bellingham High School
  • Experience in program evaluation procedures
  • Ability to interact well with colleagues and the public across all age levels.

Benefits

  • Stipend of $33 per hour for 3-hour long events, funded by the FY25 FC419 IP Grant.
