About the position

Bellingham High School is seeking 3 enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join the After-School Career Pathways Community of Practice Committee. This stipend position offers a unique opportunity to engage in collaborative, after-school meetings focused on the DESE Innovation Pathways Program, which provides students with career-oriented educational experiences aligned with real-world opportunities in high-demand industries. Committee members will work closely with educators, industry partners, and community stakeholders to enhance and support the development of career pathways and post-graduation success for Bellingham students.

Responsibilities

  • Actively attend and contribute to after-school meetings focused on the DESE Innovation Pathways Program.
  • Work alongside teachers, administrators, local business leaders, and community organizations to align career pathway opportunities with the needs of students.
  • Provide input on the structure and content of career-focused learning opportunities.
  • Collaborate with school leadership to monitor the progress of students involved in career pathways.
  • Advocate for the Innovation Pathways Program within the school community and beyond.
  • Adhere to the adopted policies and procedures of the Bellingham School Committee.

Requirements

  • Current teacher at Bellingham High School
  • Experience in program evaluation procedures.
  • Ability to get along with colleagues and the public, as well as interact with all age levels.

Benefits

  • $33 per hour for 3 hour long events, funded by the FY25 FC419 IP Grant, subject to grant funding.
