About The Position
Catholic Charities of Baltimore is currently seeking a Teaching Assistant - Classroom, who will be responsible for providing treatment, care, and assistance of children in Elementary and Middle School setting. TA's will actively supervise and help children with all learning needs and daily living activities, implement the agency CARE philosophy, approved behavioral intervention and support system and Individual Education Plans, (IEP), recreational and educational opportunities and maintain the therapeutic structure in each setting. The work schedule is Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 4:00pm. Villa Maria School provides educational and clinical services for children with significant emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges. We offer multiple programs serving students from kindergarten through 8th grade in small classrooms (up to nine students) who are experiencing emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges such that their local school system refers them to VMS for placement.
