About the position
The Teaching Assistant position at The Learning Center involves supporting the head teacher in the infant room, where children are aged from 6 weeks to just under 1 year. The role is designed for individuals who are passionate about early childhood education and enjoy working with infants. The assistant will help implement lesson plans, engage in daily routines, and contribute to a nurturing learning environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist the head teacher in implementing lesson plans.
- Teach lesson plans to infants.
- Help with art projects and other activities.
- Support feeding and daily routines for infants.
- Engage with children in a fun and creative manner.
- Maintain a nurturing and dedicated approach to teaching young children.
Requirements
- At least 1 to 2 years of teaching experience with infants, or currently taking education courses towards an Early Childhood or Elementary Education degree.
- Reliable and punctual with own transportation.
- Nurturing and dedicated to teaching young children.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience working with toddlers through Pre-K.
