About the position

The Teaching Faculty position in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Antioch University is a full-time remote role focused on engaging students through course instruction and advisement. Faculty members will lead core CMHC courses, participate in program development, and contribute to the academic community while promoting experiential learning and social justice within the program. The role includes direct instruction of 18-24 credits per academic year and opportunities for additional summer teaching.

Responsibilities

  • Direct instruction of 18-24 credits per academic year, depending on other assignments
  • Participate in regularly scheduled department and program meetings
  • Engage in course development and revisions
  • Support admissions work and other program-related tasks
  • Contribute to institutional citizenship activities

Requirements

  • An earned doctorate in counselor education from a regionally accredited institution (CACREP-accredited program preferred)
  • Professional counselor credentials (e.g., NCC or state licensure)
  • At least two years of professional clinical experience
  • Graduate teaching experience

  • Expertise in trauma & crisis counseling
  • Expertise in online pedagogy specific to clinical training programs
  • Knowledge of CACREP Standards and program evaluation
