About the position

As a Team Administrative Assistant at Abitos, you will play a crucial role in supporting our CPA firm by managing various administrative tasks related to tax processing and client communication. Founded in 1998, Abitos has established itself as a trusted advisor in income and estate planning, pre-immigration tax planning, and national and international tax advisory services. We pride ourselves on building strong relationships with our clients and providing personalized attention, all while fostering a culture of mutual respect and collaboration among our team members. In this position, you will be responsible for processing all forms of tax returns, including complex filings that involve international tax matters, high net worth individuals, and corporations. You will utilize software such as Ultra Tax, Practice CS, and Doc-it to ensure accurate and timely processing of tax returns. Additionally, you will handle client billing, e-filing of returns, and the production of reports to keep our data up to date. Excellent customer service is paramount, and you will be expected to communicate effectively with clients to address their needs and concerns. The ideal candidate will be technologically savvy, able to adapt and learn new software quickly, and possess a keen attention to detail. Previous experience in a CPA firm is a plus, and being bilingual in English and Spanish is required. An Associate's Degree is preferred, and familiarity with accounting software such as QuickBooks and proficiency in Microsoft Excel will be beneficial in this role.

Responsibilities

  • Processing all forms of tax returns, including complex filings involving international tax, high net worth individuals, and corporations.
  • Utilizing Ultra Tax, Practice CS, and Doc-it software for tax processing.
  • Billing clients and managing client accounts.
  • E-filing tax returns and ensuring compliance with regulations.
  • Producing reports and maintaining up-to-date data records.
  • Communicating with clients and providing excellent customer service.

Requirements

  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with QuickBooks and Ultra Tax or Practice CS is a plus.
  • Technologically savvy with the ability to learn new software quickly.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Associate's degree preferred.
  • Entry-level tax experience.

Nice-to-haves

  • Previous CPA firm experience is a plus.
  • Experience with Pro Systems software.
