About the position

AAA Cooper Transportation is seeking Team Drivers to transport freight across various locations, averaging over 5000 miles per week. This full-time position involves safe operation of commercial vehicles and compliance with federal regulations, while also maintaining professional relationships with the public.

Responsibilities

• Perform safe and legal operation of commercial motor vehicles.
• Check shipping papers to ensure compliance with required regulations.
• Maintain records for compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Develop and maintain professional relations between the company and the public.
• Drive truck to required destinations in accordance with federal regulations.
• Ensure all shipping documentation is available for inspection.
• Hook and unhook trailers from tractors, including cranking lever to raise and lower landing gear.
• Inspect equipment for defects and safe operating conditions as required by laws and company policies.
• Fuel trucks and tractors.
• Perform all other work-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driver's license (CDL).
• Experience in driving commercial motor vehicles.
• Knowledge of federal and state transportation regulations.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous experience as a team driver.
• Familiarity with safety and performance standards in trucking.
