About the position

The Team Lead for Classic Ball Pythons at Reptiles by Mack is responsible for assisting the Department Supervisor in ensuring that all animal husbandry, department maintenance, and related tasks are completed efficiently and on schedule. This role involves directing team members, training new employees, and maintaining a high standard of care for the reptiles in a unique and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Department Supervisor in overseeing animal husbandry and department maintenance.
• Direct scheduled employees' work to ensure all essential tasks are completed.
• Guide new tasks as jobs are finished and adjust schedules as needed.
• Inspect employee work for efficiency, accuracy, and completeness.
• Train new employees and provide guidance to current employees.
• Clean, disinfect, and organize animals' living areas according to established schedules.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.
