About The Position

The Data Team Leader is responsible for leading the development, implementation, and support of enterprise data solutions using Microsoft Azure and PowerBI. This role is crucial for driving the organization's digital transformation and business intelligence initiatives, aligning with strategic goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field (preferred).
• At least 10 years of IT experience, including 4 years in a technology leadership role within an innovative business environment.
• 5 years of experience in business intelligence, data insights, and data analytics.
• Strong analytical and statistical presentation skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven leadership experience in technology programs, particularly in Business Intelligence.
• 5 years of experience managing software development projects using Agile methodologies.
• Experience in managing multiple teams, applications, and projects concurrently.
• Proven experience as a Data Lead or in a similar role, with expertise in Microsoft Azure and Power BI.
• Expertise in data modeling, ETL processes, and data warehousing concepts.
• Strong proficiency in SQL, Python, or other relevant programming languages.
• Experience with Azure Data Factory, Azure Databricks, and other Azure data services.

Responsibilities

• Partner with the Director of IT Applications to achieve the IT organization's mission and vision, while promoting a client-focused culture.
• Spearhead the development of a next-generation IT platform and create a comprehensive implementation plan.
• Work with IT leadership to define and execute a cohesive digital platform aimed at enhancing the customer experience.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies, incorporating them when appropriate, and inspire others to embrace innovation.
• Ensure effective implementation of information security controls.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather business requirements and convert them into technical solutions.
• Mentor and support junior data engineers and analysts, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
• Oversee the creation and maintenance of data pipelines, ensuring the efficient collection, processing, and storage of data.
• Design and manage data models, reports, and dashboards in Power BI, delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.
