About the position

The Team Lead in Market Operations at Carvana is responsible for overseeing the local hub's operations, including market launch, logistics, consumer branding, and team engagement. This role requires a strong leader who can manage both employee and customer experiences while driving operational success in a fast-paced environment. The Team Lead will mentor and develop Customer Advocates, assess business trends, and proactively address potential challenges to ensure the market's ongoing success.

Responsibilities

  • Run the local Carvana hub, managing market launch, operations, logistics, and consumer branding.
  • Mentor and develop a team of Customer Advocates, providing tools and resources for success.
  • Conduct performance check-ins and set goals for team members to improve their skills.
  • Recognize and reinforce individual and team accomplishments through various methods.
  • Generate and monitor reports for upper management.
  • Act as a hands-on leader, assisting with customer service tasks as needed.
  • Drive production in a fast-paced environment, ensuring smooth operations.
  • Address and manage complex customer-facing issues effectively.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of work experience in a customer-facing team environment.
  • 3+ years of management experience.
  • Proven history of developing and coaching employees.
  • Experience with strategic planning and process improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.
  • Ability to diagnose and solve complex problems while focusing on customer experience.
  • Willingness to work on weekends.
