This role involves hands-on work with paint application and machinery, as well as tracking team performance and inventory management. The position emphasizes safety and effective communication within the team and with management.

Responsibilities

• Leading a team of painters and paint prep technicians and ensuring they meet production targets.
• Ensuring the quality of the output product meets customer requirements.
• Ensuring safe work practices are followed.
• Mixing paint, applying paint, and repairing paint applications.
• Setting up and operating machinery, observing machine gauges and cleanliness of machines and equipment.
• Tracking data for the team.
• Maintaining inventory of materials.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED.
• Two years at a technical or vocational school preferred.
• Automotive painting background.
• Ability to set up and operate equipment needed to complete tasks.
• Problem-solving skills and ability to deal with stressful situations.
• Highly motivated and able to work with little or no supervision.
• Ability to communicate directly and professionally with the team, management, and other internal customers.
