About the position

The Team Lead, Product Marketing at Axis Communications will lead the Product Marketing team, focusing on B2B marketing initiatives for IT products, software, and services. This role involves strategizing, planning, and executing marketing campaigns while mentoring team members and collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure effective product positioning and market success.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of product marketers, providing ongoing guidance, mentorship, and feedback.
  • Create, convey, and execute team-wide strategies designed to generate awareness and demand for Axis products, solutions, and services.
  • Collaborate with product management, sales, global marketing, and other customer-facing teams to understand market needs and develop impactful product marketing launches and campaigns.
  • Continuously measure ROI of product marketing initiatives to enhance the team's contribution to regional and corporate business goals.
  • Undertake continuous analysis of the competitive environment and industry trends to make data-driven decisions around product strategies, resources, and investments.
  • Coach your team to grow their professional competencies, building their skills to meet current and future business needs.
  • Ensure internal stakeholders are equipped with the content, messaging, and tools they need to be successful supporting product launches and campaigns.
  • Become a subject matter expert of your owned areas of the portfolio and use that expertise to design thoughtful product messaging, positioning, and promotional efforts.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in marketing, business, or related field.
  • 8+ years marketing experience in a B2B environment.
  • Experience managing or leading other team members.
  • Proven coaching abilities and desire to develop team members.
  • Broad understanding of marketing skills needed for product marketing, including solution selling, storytelling, writing, campaigning, strategic thinking, attention to detail, project management, communication, influencing, and teamwork.

Nice-to-haves

  • Prefer product marketing experience within a channel sales model.
  • Prefer IT industry and/or security industry experience.
  • Knowledge and experience of key platforms such as Salesforce, Pardot (marketing automation), etc.
