About the position

The Team Lead for Community Bridge Housing is responsible for overseeing the provision of direct care and supportive services to residents within CHS Residential programs. This role involves supervising staff, ensuring compliance with documentation and state regulations, and fostering a respectful and therapeutic environment for residents. The Team Lead operates across various residential sites and is expected to maintain effective communication and crisis management while adhering to the Housing First and Harm Reduction service delivery models.

Responsibilities

  • Develop a professional and therapeutic relationship with residents.
  • Train new staff members on job responsibilities, agency policies and procedures, and protocols for working with residents.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to ensure new staff members are equipped to perform their duties effectively.
  • Ensure that all state mandated regulations for coverage are being met, including flexing schedule to fill shifts as necessary.
  • Set the standard in developing positive relationships with residents and staff, ensuring they feel supported and understood.
  • Model and uphold appropriate boundaries to foster a safe and respectful environment for both residents and staff.
  • Offer counseling and guidance to residents, helping them with decision-making and monitoring their progress toward goals.
  • Coordinate with external support and community organizations to enhance service delivery and access to resources for residents.
  • Assist Program Manager in conducting staff meetings, providing guidance and feedback, and facilitating professional development opportunities for team members.
  • Address emergencies calmly and respectfully, implementing appropriate procedures and seeking outside support when necessary.
  • Ensure timely completion of required written documentation, including incident reports and progress notes.
  • Ensure staff adherence to agency and program policies and procedures, identifying appropriate procedures for various situations.
  • Assist residents with household duties, reporting needed repairs, and ensuring health and safety standards are met.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of supervisory experience in a social service organization.
  • Pre-employment physical and TB screening with results stating person is free from communicable disease, at hire and every two years thereafter.
  • Act 34 Criminal, Act 33 Child Abuse, and FBI Criminal clearances.
  • A valid PA driver's license with a driving record acceptable to agency's insurance review, and pass internal driving test.
  • Strong ability to lead others and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional customer service communication and cultural competence to work effectively with all backgrounds.
  • Experience and ability to de-escalate mental and behavioral health crisis situations.
  • Strong organizational, phone, and computer skills.
  • A working knowledge of the social service system through life or job-related experience.
  • Willingness to work both independently and collaboratively.

Nice-to-haves

  • Certified Food Protection Management certificate obtained within the first 30 days of employment.
