About the position
The Team Lead for Roll Thread in Belvidere, Illinois, is responsible for overseeing and directing manufacturing activities within the assigned department. This role involves performing set-ups on threading equipment, ensuring product quality, troubleshooting complex problems, and implementing continuous improvement processes. The Team Lead also assists in planning and scheduling production to meet quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Follow all safety rules.
- Assist and train other operators as needed.
- Set-up and operate equipment as required.
- Perform inspection checks to monitor the quality of all parts.
- Perform the duties required to record data for SPC, ISO/QS documentation.
- Maintain clean and orderly work area.
- Move material by operating forklift or using non-motorized devices.
- Suggest process improvement ideas.
- Other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements
- Ability to complete, or has completed the Job Skills Training Matrix as a Roll Thread Technician.
- Thorough understanding of SPC.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Working knowledge of Google-gmail, docs and spreadsheets.
