About the position

The Team Lead Sales Support Specialist at Johnson & Johnson will oversee the Sales Support team within the DePuy Synthes Orthopedics Commercial Operations. This role is pivotal in developing and deploying strategies to enhance sales performance and drive growth objectives by optimizing inventory resources across the US market. The position involves acting as a player/coach, providing guidance to team members, and collaborating with various departments to ensure efficient order management and support for field sales operations.

Responsibilities

  • Leads others in achieving the goals and objectives of the team
  • Completes all required HR activities that pertain to a supervisor, including performance management
  • Provides effective mentorship and coaching to team members
  • Uses high-level analytics and systems to support requests, reallocation, and deployment for New Product Introductions and competitive conversion activities
  • Develops process and strategy for setting optimal account inventory levels using sophisticated analytics
  • Delivers strategies in collaboration with Field Sales to enable sales growth by ensuring appropriate resources are available and balanced throughout the network
  • Coordinates NPI launches and new Set Deployments to Field Sales
  • Develops and supports Field Sales Systems that drive efficiencies in the end-to-end Sales Process
  • Provides advanced Analytics and Insights to Sales Leadership

Requirements

  • BA/BS required; MA/MBA preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years business experience in Logistics, Manufacturing, Operations, Sales, or Inventory Management
  • Ability to make effective oral and written presentations that result in meeting departmental goals/objectives
  • Ability to influence and develop interdependent partnerships to meet departmental objectives
  • Experience in data management, analytics, and visualization with a proven track record to connect analysis to insights that inspire action
  • Experience in field sales communication and interactions
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams (Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, Customer Service)
  • Ability to work independently
  • Creative problem-solving skills

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to apply knowledge of inventory systems to analyze product launches and inventory utilization
  • Strong digital literacy used in business reporting, including PowerBI and/or Tableau
  • Advanced Excel capabilities (macros, linking of files) applied to inventory analysis
  • Experience with field inventory management
