The Sam's Club Team Lead for Campbell Snacks is a pivotal role responsible for driving sales growth across various snack categories, including bakery products. This position requires a strategic approach to managing relationships between Sam's Club headquarters and Campbell's HQ, ensuring that sales objectives are met through effective business planning and execution. The Team Lead will oversee one direct report and will be instrumental in developing and implementing strategies that enhance the Campbell Snacks portfolio's performance in a competitive retail environment. In this role, the Team Lead will utilize the Campbell Sales Planning & Customer Investment platform to create optimal customer plans aimed at driving volume and profit. This includes managing trade promotion strategies, monitoring trade budgets, and conducting post-event analyses to evaluate promotional effectiveness. The Team Lead will also be responsible for developing accurate monthly forecasts to maximize supply chain efficiencies and proactively identifying potential risks to these forecasts. The position requires a deep understanding of snacking strategies and the ability to collaborate with key decision-makers at Sam's Club. The Team Lead will conduct business reviews to discuss market trends and opportunities, ensuring that Campbell's strategic goals align with customer needs. This role is hybrid, requiring three days in the office located in Rogers, AR, and involves approximately 10-15% travel.

Responsibilities

  • Utilize the Campbell Sales Planning & Customer Investment platform to create optimal customer plans to drive the portfolio.
  • Manage and lead cross portfolio platforms to drive volume and profit targets.
  • Develop and implement trade promotion strategies and tactical plans with the customer to execute higher ROI activities.
  • Proactively monitor and update the customer's overall business plan, managing trade budgets, spending, and volume to achieve the annual operating plan.
  • Leverage Customer Strategy to develop and implement collaborative marketing programs in alignment with brand and customer strategies.
  • Conduct post-event analysis to evaluate promotional volume, consumption, profit, and spending results versus plan.
  • Conduct business reviews to discuss the state of the business, consumer trends, key business drivers, and incremental opportunities.
  • Understand snacking strategies and tactics and implement them by working closely with Sam's Club key decision makers.
  • Develop accurate monthly forecasts to maximize supply chain efficiencies and trade rate by tracking deliveries, consumption data, and inventory changes.
  • Deliver innovation and SKU level rotations to the customer.
  • Monitor and manage deductions balances and conduct post audits.
  • Manage sales analyst and provide required reviews and feedback as a manager.
  • Contribute and lead as a member of the VP of Sales, Walmart leadership staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • 8+ years of CPG Industry Sales experience
  • Minimum 3 years in a customer-facing selling role
