About the position

The Team Lead for Systems of Care Initiatives is responsible for training and supporting community behavioral health staff in the implementation of the Systems of Care (SOC) curriculum, including Wraparound and other clinical initiatives. This role involves coaching, developing training materials, and ensuring compliance with service policies while acting as a Subject Matter Expert. The Team Lead will also facilitate collaboration among team members and provide leadership and mentorship to specialist staff.

Responsibilities

  • Train the Systems of Care (SOC) curriculum including Wraparound and other HFS directed clinical initiatives.
  • Provide ongoing coaching and support for new initiatives.
  • Serve as Subject Matter Expert and Team Lead for New Service Initiatives and SOC curriculum.
  • Coach and support specialist team and Care Coordination and Support Organizations.
  • Plan and deliver web-based and on-site training statewide.
  • Integrate IM+CANS into Systems of Care work and Wraparound for CCSO and leadership.
  • Train on newly launched Medicaid services to support providers.
  • Assess agency-specific challenges and build strategies for effective implementation.
  • Work with Compliance Coordination team to ensure provider compliance with policies.
  • Develop trainings, including on-site and web-based formats.
  • Provide feedback to SOC Coordinator and Workforce Development Team on new services and Wraparound implementation.
  • Complete task assignments and lead workgroup teams for curriculum development.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and oversight as Team Lead to specialist staff.
  • Perform observations and complete evaluation documentation of specialist staff.
  • Schedule, track attendance, and lead mock sessions for staff practice.
  • Attend interviews and provide feedback on potential candidates for hire.
  • Facilitate collaboration and communication with department Coordinator.
  • Assist with professional development of staff and create content and materials.
  • Report staff concerns or content changes to ensure quality and accuracy of curriculum.
  • Analyze training effectiveness as required.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work or related field from an accredited college or university.
  • 1-3 years of Behavioral Health Services (Clinical) experience.
  • One (1) year of IM+CANS training experience.
  • IM+CANS trainer level certification within 90 days of hire.
  • SOC trainer certification within 120 days of hiring.
  • Illinois clinical licensure.
  • LPHA status pursuant to 89 ILAC 140.453.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working with CSPI, CANS, ANSA, FAST or TCOM is strongly preferred.
  • Experience in training preferred.
