About the position

The Workforce Development Team Lead is responsible for spearheading workforce training and development initiatives within Production Operations and Maintenance. This role focuses on fostering a culture of continuous learning among associates through skill assessments, career planning, and the creation of training content. The Team Lead will manage direct reports, collaborate with supervision on associate development tracking, and engage with external partners to stay updated on workforce training trends. This position is on-site and may require travel within the US.

Responsibilities

• Lead the implementation of workforce training and development for Production Operations and Maintenance.
• Conduct skill assessments and career planning for associates.
• Create training content and onboarding materials for new associates.
• Coordinate on-the-job and classroom-based training programs.
• Collaborate with supervision to track associate development progress.
• Engage with external partners to stay informed on workforce training trends.
• Lead recruitment activities with educational institutions and community partners.
• Develop and maintain training solutions, primarily focusing on internally developed content.

Requirements

• 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• 5 years of experience leading teams (direct or indirect reporting).
• 5 years of experience in teaching or workforce development, including on-the-job training methods and developing training materials.
• Bachelor's Degree in a Technical Discipline, HR organizational development, or a STEM-related educational field.
• Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and thoroughness in tracking and reporting.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in community engagement initiatives for workforce development.
• Competence in Microsoft tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and SharePoint file management.
• Basic skills in picture and video editing.
