About the position

Aguirre & Fields is seeking an experienced civil engineer to lead our Fort Worth Roadway Team. The successful candidate will be a registered professional engineer, who has a background in roadway design, and the ability to manage projects and lead a team. Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Fort Worth Roadway team and support client satisfaction and achieving target profit.
  • Provide leadership with grit and character by being a good communicator, having an interest in learning, being inspiring, a visionary, a team builder, living our Purpose, helping achieve our Vision, allowing others to shine, taking responsibility, leading by example, and being dependable, respectful, passionate and an active listener.
  • Provide QC roles as required in areas of competency.
  • Provide technical advice and or assistance as needed to office staff or across offices as needed.
  • Perform Project Manager duties for assigned projects.
  • Perform Project Engineer duties as required.
  • Facilitate weekly meetings with staff to discuss project priorities, resolve issues, and disseminate company information.
  • Update monthly workload and revenue projections, communicate with the Group Lead/Director, and execute necessary initiatives to resolve challenges.
  • Support and regularly communicate with the Service Director or Service Group Lead.
  • Support the Communities and/or R&D groups as required.
  • Assist the Service Group Lead/Service Director in ensuring quality assurance.
  • Assume other duties as directed by the Service Group Lead/Service Director.
  • Support and maintain the morale, welfare, professional development, training, and work-life balance of all assigned staff utilizing the Company's Character Qualities.
  • Comply with all company policies, procedures, practices, and rules.
  • Serve as an example of proper conduct per Company Guiding Principles.
  • Live our Purpose and help achieve our Vision.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent from an ABET/EAC accredited program.
  • Registered Professional Engineer.
  • 10 plus years of relevant design experience.
  • Leadership and team management experience preferred.
  • Project management experience is preferred.
  • Relevant technology/software experience (MicroStation/ORD).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
