About the position

The Team Lead at Rack Room Shoes is responsible for supervising and managing day-to-day store operations, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role provides leadership and training to store staff and assumes full responsibility for store operations in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Store Manager. The Team Lead aims to meet and exceed sales, service, and operational objectives while maintaining a positive shopping experience for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in supervising and managing all day-to-day store operations.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with all established company policies and procedures.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and training to store staff.
  • Assume full responsibility for store operations in the absence of the Store Manager and Assistant Manager.
  • Strive to meet and exceed established sales, service, and operational objectives.
  • Create and maintain an excellent customer shopping experience.
  • Manage customer issues with urgency and satisfaction.
  • Conduct all POS terminal transactions in accordance with policy and procedure.
  • Oversee inventory control responsibilities including shipping and receiving, price management, and conducting physical inventory.
  • Manage sales floor merchandising and visual presentation according to company standards.
  • Adhere to payroll control responsibilities including scheduling and time & attendance management.
  • Train and develop direct reports, reinforcing customer service standards.
  • Implement loss prevention strategies to protect company assets.
