About the position
The Tempur-Pedic Team Lead is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service while promoting and selling Tempur-Pedic products. This role also involves stepping in for the Store Manager when they are unavailable, which includes managing store operations, ensuring compliance with company standards, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Responsibilities
- Support management in overall store leadership and supervision
- Drive brand awareness and advocacy to exceed projected store goals
- Assist in recruiting, hiring, and monitoring the development of store associates
- Provide a premium customer experience and build relationships with consumers
- Maintain high standards of visual merchandising and brand presentation
- Ensure financial objectives and controls are managed correctly
- Provide leadership in the absence of store management to ensure operations meet Tempur-Pedic standards
- Foster a collaborative and open environment across the company
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-3 years of retail management experience or equivalent education and experience
- Strong sales skills in a consultative environment
- Demonstrated ability to effectively lead, direct, and train others in a store setting
- Skilled in current best practice retail methods, procedures, and standards
- Demonstrated team player able to both lead and follow
- Flexibility in work schedule reflecting the needs of store hours
- Fluency with current retail software and computer systems
