About the position

The Shift Manager at Taco Bell plays a crucial role in ensuring 100% customer satisfaction by improving customer service and overall restaurant performance. This position focuses on the 3 C's: Customers, Coaching, and Controllable. As a leader in the restaurant, Shift Managers are expected to train and direct staff while maintaining professionalism at all times.

Responsibilities

• Ensures adequate positioning of staff to deliver customer service by assigning daily tasks or duties to each staff person.
• Opens the restaurant, turning on all lights and equipment, and checks that all machines are in working order.
• Sets up cash drawers, counts, and audits safe monies.
• Reviews stock items to ensure adequate food, paper, and cooking supplies.
• Assists with the stocking/storing of products delivered and communicates with crew members regarding proper storage.
• Ensures the cleanliness of the restaurant's interior and exterior by assigning duties to crew members.
• Fills in at any of the food preparation areas, dispensing orders or cashiering as needed.
• Communicates with all employees and customers in a courteous and friendly manner.
• Can perform a shift change, counting cash and calculating register totals.

Requirements

• Experience in Quick Service Restaurants or cafeteria with a proven track record of success in the quick-service industry.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to provide customer service and satisfy customer needs and complaints.
• Ability to carry out duties assigned by the Restaurant General Manager and work under limited supervision.
• Knowledge of and ability to operate all restaurant equipment, including registers and steamers.
