About the position

The Team Leader for the 2nd Shift at Sartori Company is responsible for leading and directing the East Main team to foster a collaborative and engaging work environment. This role focuses on achieving production, safety, and quality goals while ensuring clear communication and expectations among team members. The position operates Monday to Friday from 3 PM to 11 PM.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct team members to achieve production, safety, training, and food safety goals.
• Create daily team member schedules and manage timekeeping and leaves of absence.
• Communicate process challenges and production changes with Process Team members.
• Work with the Production Planner to organize work orders to meet production goals.
• Coordinate daily sanitation for the 2nd shift.
• Support the implementation of Safety, Quality, and Productivity improvement initiatives.
• Immediately report any food safety or quality issues to management.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• 2-3 years of related leadership experience preferred.
• 2-3 years of food manufacturing/converting experience required.
• Knowledge and understanding of Lean manufacturing principles (e.g. 5S, Six Sigma, Root Cause Analysis).
• Strong computer skills including proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook, JD Edwards or related ERP.
