About the position

The Team Leader is responsible for overseeing all store activities in the absence of salaried management, ensuring that the company's culture and values are exemplified in daily operations. This role requires strong leadership skills, a focus on customer service, and the ability to manage store operations effectively. The Team Leader is expected to develop expertise in merchandising, shrink control, and operational aspects while also focusing on career development towards senior management roles.

Responsibilities

  • Exemplify and ensure CNRG's Mission and Values are forefront in daily business.
  • Ensure aggressive customer service is defined and demonstrated as part of total store operations.
  • Supervise other associates as assigned.
  • Maintain a high level of enthusiasm, commitment, and energy, motivating other associates.
  • Provide appropriate solutions to customer questions.
  • Keep up-to-date on all current programs and communicate them to team members.
  • Coordinate merchandise orders to align with sales trends and customer demands.
  • Complete cycle counts and reconcile inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Demonstrate leadership and adhere to CNRG's Mission, Vision, and Values.
  • Train new associates in product knowledge, selling skills, and customer service.
  • Maintain the appearance of the sales floor and stock areas.
  • Create merchandise displays to improve sales and ease of shopping.
  • Work collaboratively with other associates to complete tasks and achieve budgeted goals.
  • Clean the store and exterior areas of the facility.
  • Identify and correct safety problems or hazards.
  • Complete price shops and price changes in a timely manner.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage with limited supervision.
  • Good oral and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of aggressive customer service and team-oriented approach.
  • Developed management and organizational skills.
  • Ability to interpret data presented in statistical or numerical form.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to climb ladders, reach, bend, twist, kneel, and lift up to 50 lbs.
