About the position

The Team Leader of Homeless Services is responsible for overseeing a team that provides essential services to support the independence and well-being of clients experiencing homelessness. This role involves clinical consultation, documentation, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure high-quality service delivery. The position requires a strong commitment to evidence-based practices and adherence to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and supervise the Homeless Services team to provide services that support client independence and general well-being.
  • Adhere to evidence-based principles and practices in the implementation of services.
  • Provide clinical consultation to staff on multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality services.
  • Complete timely and accurate documentation regarding assessment and therapy.
  • Ensure continuous reimbursable sessions for assigned clients.
  • Participate in staff development opportunities to enhance professional growth.
  • Perform assessments of new clients in a timely manner and complete updated assessments at least annually or upon change in clients' condition.
  • Provide individual and family therapy for children, adolescents, and adults.
  • Utilize appropriate evidence-based practices to address clients' needs.
  • Develop recovery plans for clients based on their needs, diagnoses, and symptoms.
  • Serve as primary contact with Kentucky Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities regarding clinical and operational matters.
  • Manage staff productivity, timely provision of services, and quality of care.
  • Complete required documentation in a timely and high-quality manner.
  • Work collaboratively with other service programs to promote the organizational mission.
  • Ensure staff are trained on community resources.
  • Maintain compliance with Joint Commission standards for accreditation.
  • Promote strong working relationships with other managers and program team leaders.
  • Provide current information to supervisors and staff within the chain of command.
  • Perform comprehensive reviews of supervisees to ensure competence.
  • Ensure compliance with external regulations and internal policies.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral healthcare field of study.
  • Master's degree preferred.
  • Relevant experience, knowledge, and expertise in the behavioral health field.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience in Microsoft Word.
