About the position

The Team Leader, Scheduling at Ensono is a pivotal role that involves providing technical support for maintaining both new and existing batch schedules using specialized batch scheduling tools. This position is remote and requires the individual to lead a team of schedulers in their daily tasks. The Team Leader will engage with both mainframe and client server environments to ensure the effective maintenance of batch schedules while also offering ongoing technical support to application teams and the batch operation team. The role is not confined to normal business hours, indicating a need for flexibility in work hours. Key responsibilities include handling moderate to high complexity batch scheduling assignments, establishing oneself as a subject matter expert (SME) in the product, and leading the team of schedulers in their daily operations. The Team Leader must have a comprehensive understanding of the overall scheduling process and be able to adjust workflows accordingly. Collaboration with application teams to develop automation for complex scheduling tasks and with operations teams to minimize manual work is essential. The Team Leader will also provide input on environment upgrades and changes, adhere to the company's change control process, meet ticket service level agreement (SLA) requirements, and complete both internal and external reporting. Additionally, mentoring less experienced associates is a critical aspect of this role.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for maintaining batch schedules using batch scheduling tools.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 10 years of related experience with a bachelor's degree.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Designing skills.
  • Analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to represent Ensono in front of clients.
  • Knowledge of batch scheduling products (BMC ControlM).
  • Mainframe knowledge (TSO, SDSF, JCL, QuickRef).
  • ITIL foundation knowledge.
  • Self-directed work ethic.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with other mainframe scheduling tools.
