Halff Associates, Inc. is seeking a Team Leader/Sr. Engineering Manager for their Public Works division in Tampa, Florida. This full-time position involves the design and management of civil engineering projects, particularly in the Public Works sector. The ideal candidate will have significant experience in managing teams and projects within the Tampa Bay region, with a focus on civil engineering design and project management. Responsibilities

• Design and manage civil engineering projects related to Public Works.
• Supervise a team of 6-12 direct reports, including professional engineers and CAD designers.
• Develop project scopes, professional services fees, and staff projections.
• Produce winning project proposals as the lead professional/project manager.
• Train and mentor staff to enhance their skills and performance.
• Collaborate with local entities and work in a team environment across multiple offices.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering.
• PE License in Florida.
• 10+ years of experience in Civil Engineering Design with public sector clients.
• Management experience is required.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D is preferred.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills.
• Experience in project scope development and fee development.
• Ability to work in a team environment with multiple disciplines.
• Positive attitude and self-directed work ethic.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in roadway, drainage, and site development projects.
• Familiarity with local regulations and entities in the Tampa Bay region.
