About the position

The Team Leader at Sbarro is responsible for opening the restaurant and ensuring smooth operations during service hours. This role involves food preparation, providing excellent customer service, and supervising team members. The Team Leader must be adaptable, as they will assist in various duties based on the restaurant's needs, ensuring a clean and safe environment for both staff and guests.

Responsibilities

• Unlocks and opens the restaurant for daily operations.
• Supervises team members in preparing the restaurant for opening, including cleaning and food preparation.
• Serves customers at assigned stations, ensuring guest satisfaction and compliance with service standards.
• Maintains product knowledge of menu items and specials.
• Prepares food products according to specifications outlined in the Recipe Manual.
• Practices food safety and sanitation standards required in foodservice establishments.
• Completes cleaning and stocking duties as per daily operating procedures.
• Communicates with co-workers and management regarding food quality and inventory.
• Assists other team members as required.

Requirements

• Ability to follow health and safety laws, policies, and procedures.
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and stooping.
• Able to lift 50 pounds.
• Basic mathematical skills for accurate cash handling.
• Adequate command of the English language, including understanding, speaking, reading, and writing.

Nice-to-haves

• Previous restaurant experience is helpful but not required.
