About the position

This job posting is for a position in a restaurant owned and operated by an independent franchisee, not Jack in the Box Inc. This means the independent franchisee, and not Jack in the Box Inc. will be your employer if you are hired. The independent franchisee is responsible for all employment related matters in the restaurant including, among other things, setting any requirements for this job and all decisions concerning hiring, firing, discipline, wages, supervision, staffing and scheduling. The position is responsible, as the first-line operational supervisor, for training and leading team members in consistently delivering an exceptional guest experience, including ensuring great tasting/quality food, executing on 20/20 guest expectations, and ensuring compliance with all Jack in the Box procedures, systems and standards.

Responsibilities

  • Train and coach team members using the Guest Expectations training materials.
  • Model being calm and productive during busy times.
  • Hold team members accountable to the JIB uniform and grooming standards.
  • Model looking nice and professional; ensure uniform is clean and unwrinkled.
  • Model acknowledging each guest with a smile and treating everyone with care and respect.
  • Monitor quality to ensure the food looks and tastes great.
  • Model a sense of urgency and encourage team members to provide consistent, fast service.
  • Ensure food safety by following all food safety and food quality policies and procedures.
  • Supervise and train team members on workstation operations.
  • Ensure guests receive an exceptional experience by performing quality employee training.

Requirements

  • 6 consecutive months JIB experience and 100% certified in all workstations for internal promotes, or 1-year supervisory experience in a restaurant or retail customer service environment.
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • Must complete Team Leader training classes.
  • In certain states, must be ServSafe certified.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write effectively in English; may require ability to speak another language based on location.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to perform basic math concepts.
  • Basic knowledge of personal computers and related software applications.
