About the position
The Store Coach at MOD is responsible for assisting the General Manager in driving overall store operations. This leadership role focuses on enhancing store performance and ensuring that all Squad members deliver an exceptional MOD experience. The Store Coach acts as both a leader and a participant, adapting to the needs of the store while maintaining a strong commitment to MOD's values and customer service standards.
Responsibilities
- Be an example of MOD values and behaviors and exemplify a service mindset through effective leadership
- Be a role model of outstanding customer service and help create a fun MOD atmosphere
- Coach Shift Captains to maintain high energy and positivity during shifts
- Demonstrate, train, and coach Squad in all methods for accomplishing store tasks
- Ensure all stations, products, and equipment are clean, well maintained, and meet quality standards
- Demonstrate knowledge of all Operational Standards and resources
- Inform the General Manager of performance issues and resolve Squad member concerns in their absence
- Manage cash handling functions for the shift
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months in a Shift Captain position or 1 year of supervisory experience in a retail store or restaurant
- Experience in leading, coaching, training, and motivating front line employees
- Ability to think strategically and act tactically
- Ability to stay calm and focused in busy restaurant operations
- Belief in MOD's purpose and acceptance of change and growth mindset
- Must be at least 18 years old
- Must obtain food safety certification and/or alcohol beverage certification within 30 days of start date
