About the position

The Team Leader at Daily Table is responsible for overseeing store operations during a shift, supporting the Store Manager, and ensuring a positive customer experience. This role involves leadership, customer engagement, and effective merchandise handling to maintain store standards and operations.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the leader of the store team ensuring that all tasks are completed.
• Provide leadership of the store in the absence of the Store Manager.
• Respond to customer concerns and ensure that correct opening and closing procedures are followed.
• Lead by example, provide feedback and coach team members to continually improve.
• Take ownership of the store's appearance and ensure it looks its best.
• Receive product deliveries, ensuring shipments are accurate and paperwork is complete.
• Conduct inventory counts to ensure each department is well stocked.
• Ensure product displays are full, well-organized, and have proper signage and pricing.
• Quickly and accurately process customer transactions and bag purchased items.
• Handle cash and other payment options accurately and responsibly; supervise team members in cash management.

Requirements

• Demonstrated supervisory experience (2 years required).
• Great attitude and commitment to providing a great customer experience.
• Reliable and honest, shows up on time, takes initiative.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to work with a diverse team and customer base.
• Excellent basic math skills and ability to operate a cash register or POS system.
• Ability to perform physical demands such as standing, walking, kneeling, squatting, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50lbs.
