Our Richmond manufacturing facility is looking for a new Team Manager - Production responsible for overseeing and managing the production of Brazed Plate Heat Exchangers. This position is crucial as it involves managing job assignments, materials planning, and ensuring safety compliance. The work schedule will be from Sunday to Thursday, 10:00 PM to 06:30 AM, plus handover time with shifts and management. As a Team Manager, you will be responsible for meeting production forecasts and driving continuous improvements through the manufacturing processes. You will secure quality through SOP audit dialogues and the execution of the SOPs. Additionally, you will drive performance meetings, improvement meetings, and related activities to attain production goals through effective scheduling to meet daily customer demands. Providing hands-on support and direction to the night shift team will be essential in creating a work environment that drives excellence in productivity, customer service, and quality. You will apply continuous improvement skills such as 5S, Lean manufacturing, KAIZEN, and TPM to drive improvements. Setting and following up on targets for the team and each employee, broken down from the unit level, will be part of your responsibilities. You will also be responsible for the team's safety, quality, delivery, cost, and adherence to company policies. Acting as a link between the factory and support functions for daily issues and ensuring all employees understand their responsibilities and contributions to the overall results will be key to your success in this role. You will also support other initiatives as directed by the Unit Manager and/or Factory Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Engineering / Science in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
  • 2-3 years of experience in Maintenance, Production, or Quality areas.
  • 1-2 years of People Management Experience.
  • Ability to read drawings, blueprints, and machine performance reports.
  • Lean or Six Sigma Certifications.
  • Advanced Computer Skills (ERP, MS Office Suite, AutoCAD, Data Analysis, etc.).
