The Team Member - Cashier/Sales Associate position at Tractor Supply Company involves providing excellent customer service while performing various retail tasks. Team Members are expected to engage with customers, support sales initiatives, and handle merchandise efficiently and safely.
Responsibilities
- Maintain regular and predictable attendance.
- Work scheduled shifts and have the ability to work varied hours, days, nights, weekends, and overtime as dictated by business needs.
- Support selling initiatives by greeting customers, uncovering their needs, recommending products, and asking for the sale.
- Operate cash register/computer following cash handling procedures.
- Recover merchandise and participate in mandatory freight processes.
- Complete Plan-o-gram procedures including merchandising, sets, and resets.
- Assemble merchandise and perform janitorial duties.
- Execute price changes and markdowns.
- Operate forklift and cardboard baler.
- Assist customers with loading purchases and complete all associated documentation.
Requirements
- Availability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends.
- Ability to operate cash register and handle cash accurately.
- Experience in customer service and retail sales.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience operating a forklift.
- Knowledge of merchandising and inventory processes.
