About the position

The Team Member position at Jack in the Box is focused on delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing excellent service, high-quality food, and maintaining a clean restaurant environment. This role involves performing various workstations in accordance with company procedures and guest expectations, ensuring that guests feel welcomed and valued while adhering to food safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Deliver exceptional guest service by acknowledging and welcoming guests promptly.
• Take and clarify orders, assist guests with menu selections, and enter orders into the POS system.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including dining and restroom facilities.
• Prepare food items according to company standards, ensuring quality and presentation.
• Follow food safety policies and procedures, including proper hand washing and glove use.
• Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely and accurate order assembly and delivery.
• Handle guest complaints professionally and positively, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Perform various cleaning tasks, both interior and exterior, to maintain restaurant cleanliness.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Experience in guest service or food preparation is helpful.
• Ability to communicate clearly in English; knowledge of another language may be required based on location.
• Basic math skills to handle cash transactions and order accuracy.
• Ability to stand and walk for 90%-95% of the shift and lift/carry 15-25 lbs.
