About the position

The Machine Operator position at FGF Brands involves controlling and monitoring machines in a fast-paced food production environment. The role emphasizes personnel and food safety, with a focus on maintaining production standards and ensuring efficient operations. Team members are expected to work collaboratively, participate in training, and contribute to a culture of safety and quality.

Responsibilities

• Perform the responsibilities and tasks assigned with the general guidance of your leader.
• Complete job responsibilities safely.
• Report to work area on time every day.
• Enter and react to all IPM data as stated in the IPM standards associated with their area.
• Maintain all Internal and External KOV's.
• Clean work area during / at end of shift, including floor, catch pans, barrels, and other equipment.
• Operate and adjust machines according to the standards associated with each SKU and maintain proper set-ups.
• Run the line and change over in a safe and efficient manner.
• Maintain proper level of materials for continuous operation.
• Use / Push totes for material and waste control.
• Participate actively in team meetings and training sessions.
• On shutdown, return all necessary equipment to sanitation and ensure work area is properly shut down.
• Communicate problems upstream and downstream to fellow Team Members, using IPM Messenger.
• Alert team leaders / maintenance of any problems.
• Perform timely and efficient changeovers.
• Communicate with relief shift each day.
• Complete assigned tasks reliably.
• Comply with established Departmental and Organizational policies and procedures.
• Work within a team environment to meet/exceed established production standards.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be able to read, write and understand instructions, warnings, labels and postings in English effectively.
• Must follow dress code and maintain a professional appearance.
• Must adhere to GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) standards as well as HAACP compliance and other food safety and workplace safety initiatives.
