About the position

The Team Member position at Jack in the Box is focused on delivering an exceptional guest experience by providing excellent service, high-quality food, and maintaining a clean restaurant environment. This role involves performing various workstations in accordance with company procedures and guest expectations, ensuring that all guests feel welcomed and valued.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional guest service by acknowledging and welcoming guests promptly.
  • Take and clarify orders, assist guests with menu selections, and enter orders into the POS system.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the work area, including dining areas and restrooms.
  • Prepare food items according to company standards, ensuring quality and safety.
  • Assemble and package food orders accurately and efficiently for guests.
  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure timely service and order accuracy.
  • Follow all food safety policies and procedures, including proper handwashing and glove use.
  • Handle guest complaints professionally and strive to resolve issues promptly.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 16 years old.
  • Experience in guest service or food preparation is helpful.
  • Ability to communicate clearly in English; knowledge of another language may be required based on location.
  • Basic math skills to handle cash transactions and order accuracy.
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Physical ability to stand and walk for 90%-95% of the shift and lift 15-25 lbs.
