About the position

The Team Member at Del Taco is responsible for creating an exceptional guest experience by delivering quality service and maintaining a positive atmosphere in the restaurant. This role is essential to the overall success of the restaurant, as it relies on enthusiastic and dedicated team members to uphold the company's culture and operational standards.

Responsibilities

• Delivers effective results in quality, guest service, safety, security, cleanliness, and product preparation.
• Exhibits a cheerful and helpful manner to guests.
• Demonstrates a complete understanding of menu items and explains them accurately to guests.
• Uses Point of Sale system/cash register to record orders and compute order amounts, collecting payment from guests.
• Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety, and sanitation standards.
• Follows all company operation policies and procedures.
• Makes recommendations to enhance restaurant operations.
• Maintains a professional appearance and grooming standards.
• Cleans and maintains all areas of the restaurant to promote a clean image.

Requirements

• Must be at least 16 years of age.
• High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
• Food Handler certification may be required.
• Ability to travel to assigned restaurant location.
• Ability to stand and walk for approximately 95-100% of shift, including bending, reaching, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
