About the position

The Team Member position at our juice bar in Torrance, CA, is a customer-focused role that involves providing exceptional service while preparing and serving juices and smoothies. This position is available for both part-time and full-time schedules, with a pay rate of $16 per hour. The role requires a friendly personality, effective communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a team to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain product quality.

Responsibilities

• Give every customer immediate and undivided attention.
• Ensure customers are satisfied and have a positive experience.
• Maintain a fresh and appealing display by keeping cases, shelves, and displays clean and well stocked.
• Prepare juices and smoothies in the juice bar area.
• Prep and cook food items as needed.
• Follow juice bar procedures to maintain supplies, storage, and coolers.
• Track product transfers and spoilage effectively.
• Operate and sanitize all equipment in a safe and proper manner.
• Comply with all established policies and procedures.

Requirements

• No experience required, but previous juice bar or food service experience preferred.
• Exceptional customer service skills and a friendly personality.
• Excellent communication skills and willingness to work as part of a team.
• Ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
• Proactive selling skills and aptitude to gain extensive product knowledge.
• Ability to visually examine products for quality and freshness.
• Effective time management skills.
• Strong work ethic and integrity.
• Proper handling of all equipment in the department, including blenders, juicers, and knives.
• Availability for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the juice bar.
• Must hold or be willing to obtain a food handler's card.

Nice-to-haves

• 1 year of experience in a juice bar (preferred).
• 1 year of experience in food service (preferred).
• Food Handler Certification (preferred).
